My husband an I live in Peel region. Last year for his birthday we partnered with a local organization to raise awareness, funds, and clothing donations from the community and churches to help support the growing issue of homelessness which is typically viewed as a downtown Toronto issue.
This year he is leading a team in the planning of an informational event called DETOUR: Creating Detours to Ending Sex Trafficking in Peel. The event is geared to local churches and youth groups is an effort to raise awareness, and galvanize local safety and activism.
